Angela Hermano Crenshaw is an art historian specializing in dress and textiles. She received an MA in decorative arts, design history, and material culture at Bard Graduate Center, where she is now a PhD student. She is particularly interested in American receptions of the Philippines in the US colonial period via material objects. She has published in The Journal of Dress History and shared her work at conferences at Yale and Boston University. Crenshaw received her undergraduate degree in art history from the University of St Andrews and has held positions at Providence College Galleries and the RISD Museum.
