Join us on Monday evening, December 4, for a conversation with recent alumni of Bard Graduate Center’s MA program. They will discuss how they decided on the BGC MA, how the program helped prepare them for life after graduate school, and how their time here influenced their career paths. Light refreshments will be served.
Andrew Gardner (MA, 2015) is Curatorial Assistant in the Department of Architecture & Design at MoMA, where he focuses on exhibitions, acquisitions, and other special projects related to modern and contemporary design.
Rebecca Klassen (MA, 2011) is assistant curator of material culture at the New-York Historical Society. She has also worked as archives research assistant at the Lenore G. Tawney Foundation, associate editor at Vogue Knitting magazine, and as a freelance writer.
Sophie Pitman (MA, 2013) completed a PhD in History in 2017 at the University of Cambridge on clothing in early modern London. She is now a Lecturer in History at Columbia University and a postdoctoral scholar on the “Making and Knowing” project.
