The Blue Mountain Project’s database contains fully searchable issues of important European avant-garde periodicals from Princeton’s collections.
From the Blue Mountain Project’s website- “The Blue Mountain Project is the common work of scholars, librarians, curators, and digital humanities researchers whose mission is to create a freely available digital repository of important, rare, and fragile texts that both chronicle and embody the emergence of cultural modernity in the West.”
The rare publications included in the database (such as La cité, Der Sturm, Surréalisme, East & West and Dada, to name a few) cover art, architecture, music and literary periodicals published between 1848 and 1923.
Blue Mountain Project offers high quality color images and full text search capabilities. To search this database, along with our other resources, see our databases page here.
