Beginning in March, BGC Gallery will offer free gallery admission on the first Friday of each month. In addition, the Gallery will remain open until 8 pm on those dates.

Alexis Mucha (MA ’07), associate director of sales, marketing, and rights for publications and co-chair of BGC’s Diversity, Equity, Access, and Inclusion Working Group, proposed the idea. Mucha noted that free tickets and extended hours would make attending the BGC exhibitions more accessible to a broader audience. BGC founder and director Susan Weber embraced the plan and encouraged Gallery staff to implement it in time for BGC’s spring exhibitions, Shaped by the Loom: Weaving Worlds in the American Southwest and Staging the Table in Europe 1500–1800.
